The Commission scolaire francophone Territories du Nord-West has the following opening for a teaching position at École Boréale in Hay River for the 2018-2019 school year:

Elementary Teacher (1.0 FTE)

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education degree.
  • Northwest Territories teaching certificate or eligible for certificate.
  • Must be able to speak/write in fluent French but Bilingualism (English/French) will be considered an asset.
  • Extensive subject knowledge.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a school team.
  • Organizational skills, initiative and innovation.
  • Familiarity with and experience in the effective use of technology.
  • Experience teaching in northern communities and knowledge of Indigenous cultures is an asset

Term Position

This job opening is for a 1 year term position commencing the 2018-2019 school year on August 23, 2018.

Equivalencies

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Salary Information

Salary is pro-rated dependant of verified education and experience (ranging from $78,600 - $126,897) plus an annual pro-rated Northern Living Allowance based on the NWTTA Collective Agreement.

Eligibility lists may be created from this competition to fill future term and indeterminate positions.
