About the Job
Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority – Yellowknife Region (NTHSSA) is one of eight health and social services authorities established by the Department of Health and Social Services in the Government of the Northwest Territories.
NTHSSA – Yellowknife Region delivers and administers Population Health, Primary Health Care and Social Services programs in the communities of Dettah, Fort Resolution, Lutselk’e, Ndilo and Yellowknife.

The Records Technician provides assistance in the management of recorded information to ensure that information is managed efficiently and effectively in accordance with all relevant Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) and Federal acts and regulations, and all accepted Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) procedures, guidelines and professional standards.
The incumbent also assists the Information Management Specialist with the implementation of the Administrative Records Classification System (ARCS) and NTHSSA's Operational Records Classification Systems (ORCS) in all Divisions of NTHSSA and is responsible for reviewing NTHSSA records transfers and dispositions to ensure they have been completed accurately, according to GNWT procedures and guidelines.
Furthermore, the incumbent provides advice and assistance on the records management database, Digital Integrated Information Management System (DIIMS) and monitors NTHSSA staff records management training requirements by assisting in the development of training materials and the delivery of training workshops. The position provides advice and assistance on all records management issues.
Located in Yellowknife and reporting to the Information Management Specialist, the incumbent is one of three records management positions.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
Successful completion of two years post-secondary education in records management and two years of directly related experience in the implementation of standard records classification systems and providing assistance in records training workshops and delivery.

The salary range for this position is from $32.28 per hour to $38.54 per hour (approximately $62,946.00 - $75,153.00) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,450
