The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate in the Chief Financial Officer role on their leadership team.
We’re looking for a solution focused, creative thinker with exceptional communication skills to lead our financial team. This position has broad responsibilities, as NTHSSA has a staff compliment of 1,600 employees who delivers services and programs in 38 communities in an area spanning more than 1.4 million square kilometres. Looking for a Chief Financial Officer who will be a strong, authentic leader and who will provide clear strategic direction for the Health Authority. You will be responsible for building relationships as you work closely with key partners and stakeholders, such as the Departments of Health & Social Services and Department of Finance. You will also be responsible to provide expert, strategic advice and guidance to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the rest of the Executive Leadership Team in the provision of effective financial services in support of NTHSSA operations.
We are undertaking all of these activities while moving toward one integrated Territory-wide delivery system as part of the government’s transformation strategy. As a key member of the leadership team you’ll lead the collaboration of the integration of health and social services programs throughout the Northwest Territories to ensure continued efficient and effective service delivery.
We offer an excellent Compensation package with a Salary and Northern allowance of up to $190,000.00 per annum. This position is located in the City of Yellowknife, a thriving multi-cultural community of 20,000 located on the shores of Great Slave Lake. Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
A university degree in a related field (Administration, Business, Commerce, Finance) coupled with a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA), at least 15 years of financial management experience in a complex, public service environment, with a minimum of 5 year of senior management experience in a complex, public service organization.

The salary range for this position is from $67.03 per hour to $95.76 per hour (approximately $130,709.00 - $186,732.00.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,450.00.
