About the Job
The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) administers all regional health and social services delivered through the Inuvik Regional Hospital (IRH), a 45 bed accredited hospital. The NTHSSA provides the delivery of health care services to all members of the population on an inpatient, outpatient and outreach basis to enhance the wellbeing of healthy communities through excellence, accountability and respect for the cultural diversity within the region.
Located within the Inuvik Regional Hospital (IRH), the Registered Nurses (Emergency, Acute Care and OBS) report directly to the Regional Manager, Acute Care.
Summer coverage for the following Registerd Nurse positions:
June 18 – September, 2018 – RN, Emergency, Inuvik Regional Hospital
- One Year recent emergency experience in a fast paced work environment required
June 18 – September, 2018 - RN, Obstetrics, Acute Care, Inuvik Regional Hospital
- One year recent experience on an obstetrical unit, as well as experience in an acute care setting
June 18 – September, 2018 - RN, Acute Care, Inuvik Regional Hospital
- Two years recent experience in an acute care setting
This position involves a Rotating/Irregular Shift Schedule which may change due to operational requirements.
This job opening is for casual employment from June 18 - September 18, 2018.
Eligible for current registration with the Registered Nurses Association of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut is mandatory for this position.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain proof of current up-to-date immunization status.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
The salary range for these positions is from $42.75 per hour to $53.44 per hour plus Northern Allowance pro-rated to an extra $7.14 per hour.
