Job Information

The appropriate candidate will be prepared to actively promote self-regulation, culture-based education, and an inquiry-based learning model in the classroom. Candidates must be prepared to embrace and lead a culture of ongoing professional growth and dialogue through Professional Learning Communities for the purpose of continuously striving for high levels of student learning. All classrooms are inclusive and comprise students who span varying ability levels so ideal applicants will be experienced in offering individualized student support plans and differentiated instructional strategies accordingly. All schools have a focus on literacy and assessment that aligns directly to the regional strategic plan in education, so the successful applicant must be prepared to include literacy strategies and assessment for/as/of learning in their practice across all subject areas.The most appropriate candidates will be exemplary educators with cross-cultural experience and a strong commitment to community, students and a cross-cultural team environment.
Flexibility, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to become involved in the Tlicho way of life outside of the school are a must.

Term Position

This job opening is for a Term position to the end of the 2019 school year

Salary Information

Dependent on qualifications - ranges from $79,386-$128,166 per annum and  a Principal Allowance  determined by student enrolment, Northern Living Allowance of approximately $16,180, and possible relocation expenses. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
