Job Information

The School Secretary/Library Clerk is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and efficient secretarial and library services for Ecole Boreale. Reporting to the Principal, the incumbent is responsible for acting as receptionist, providing administrative and clerical duties and library services for the school. Providing effective secretarial and library services will ensure effective operation and administration of the school and support to the students, staff and parents.

Duties include:

  • Provide clerical assistance in the operation of the school and the district to ensure effective administration operations;
  • Provide secretarial and receptionist services to the Principal;
  • Assists with processing of financial documents to ensure the finances of the school and the district are accurate and up to date;
  • Acts as Library Clerk to ensure effective operation and use of the library;
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Typically, the above qualifications would be obtained by completing an Office Administration Certificate or Secretarial Certificate with 2 years related experience. The incumbent is required to be fluently bilingual in French and English and is required to have or be able to obtain Certified First Aid Training. Experience working in libraries will be considered an asset.
