This job opening is limited to residents living within 25 kilometres of Lutsel K'e.
Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority – Yellowknife Region (NTHSSA) is one of eight health and social services authorities established by the Department of Health and Social Services in the Government of the Northwest Territories.
NTHSSA – Yellowknife Region delivers and administers Population Health, Primary Health Care and Social Services programs in the communities of Dettah, Fort Resolution, Lutselk’e, Ndilo and Yellowknife.
Our mission is to work with people to optimize wellbeing through the provision of collaborative and culturally appropriate health and social services.
This position reports administratively to the Nurse In Charge and reports for program requirements and delegation of daily duties to the respective NIC and Supervisor of Social Programs for each of their program areas.
Critical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge obtained through course and/or experience in the area.
- The incumbent must have good written, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, TDG and other development activities that apply to the position.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize and recognize priorities.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and problem solving skills.
- Must have current, valid driver’s license.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
A combination of training, work experience and related experience in building maintenance and orientation.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
The salary range for this position is from $24.94 per hour to $29.78 per hour (approximately $48,633-$58,071.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $19,255.
